Welcome to KAG Bethel Worship Center – A Family in Christ We are a vibrant assembly under the spiritual covering of the Kenya Assemblies of God, serving the heart of Oyugis, Homa Bay County — a growing commercial and financial hub just 20 kilometers north of Kisii Town. We dedicate to reach and unite the community of over 50,000 souls, inviting everyone to become part of one family under the Lordship of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Together, we worship, grow, and impact our world — one heart at a time.
Our passion at Bethel Church is to see lives transformed by the power of Jesus Christ through prayer, worship, discipleship, and the teaching of God’s Word. We are committed to rebuilding the altar of prayer, raising strong believers, and equipping leaders who will impact families, churches, and communities.

Recovery Fellowship – walking with individuals overcoming addiction and life challenges, bringing healing and restoration.
Compassion Ministry – reaching widows, single parents, and the sick through visits, prayer, and encouragement.

Our Pastoral Team
Pastor Maurice Owiti
Seniour Pastor
Pastor Maurice Owiti is the Senior Pastor of Bethel Church. He is a committed servant of God under the Kenya Assemblies of God (KAG), passionate about prayer, discipleship and community transformation. Pastor Maurice has devoted his life to preaching the Gospel, mentoring believers and equipping the church to grow spiritually and impact society. He has served in various leadership roles within the church and continues to work closely with pastors and ministry leaders in advancing the mission of the church. His ministry focuses on revival, rebuilding the altar of prayer and raising believers who walk deeply with God. Beyond the church, Pastor Maurice is actively involved in community outreach through initiatives that support young people, families and those struggling with addiction. His heart is to see lives transformed through the power of Jesus Christ. As a servant of God he is passionate about teaching the Word of God, prayer ministry, evangelism and mentoring the next generation of leaders. In his free time, he enjoys reading, studying Scripture and engaging in community development initiatives.
Pastor Edna Owiti
Associate Pastor
Pastor Edna Owiti serves as the Associate Pastor at Bethel Church, working alongside her husband, Senior Pastor Maurice Owiti in advancing the mission of the Gospel. She is passionate about raising strong and godly women in the church, mentoring women leaders and guiding the Women’s Ministry with wisdom, grace and practical counsel. She also oversees the Children’s Ministry and plays a key role in the Prayer Ministry, helping to nurture a culture of prayer and spiritual growth within the church. Pastor Edna is actively involved in pastoral care and counselling, walking with individuals and families through different seasons of life with compassion and biblical guidance. Her heart for ministry extends beyond the church walls. She is deeply committed to reaching widows, single women and the sick through hospital visits and community outreach, bringing encouragement, prayer and the love of Christ to those in need. Together with the church leadership, Pastor Edna has a strong desire to see the Gospel reach communities through discipleship, compassion and partnership with missionaries, ministry teams who share a heart for serving, mentoring and transforming lives through Christ.
